Quickstart

Add your first app

1. Open OpenASO.
2. Click Add App in the sidebar.
3. Choose the App Store country to search in.
4. Search by app name, or paste the numeric App Store ID.
5. Select the correct app from the results.

OpenASO stores the tracked app locally with its App Store ID, bundle ID, title, subtitle, seller name, and default platform.

Add keywords

1. Select the tracked app.
2. Click the add keyword control in the toolbar.
3. Paste one keyword per line, or separate keywords with commas.
4. Select one or more countries.
5. Click Add Tracks.

OpenASO creates one keyword track for every keyword and country combination. Duplicate combinations are skipped.

Refresh rankings

Select an app and click the refresh control. OpenASO searches App Store rankings for each tracked keyword, records the app's position, and stores the ranked result list for later comparison.

Review results

Use the keyword workspace to inspect:

• Current position.
• Last updated time.
• Country.
• Popularity.
• Difficulty.
• Trend.
• Apps in the ranking.
• Notes.

Switch to the ratings workspace to review storefront rating and review data for the selected app.

Optional: connect Apple Ads

Connect Apple Ads in Settings when you need keyword popularity. OpenASO can capture an Apple Ads web session and use the linked app context to fetch popularity scores.
