OpenASO MCP
Use OpenASO with AI assistants that support MCP.
OpenASO MCP lets an AI assistant use the App Store research you keep in OpenASO. You can ask questions in plain language, and the assistant can read your tracked apps, keywords, rankings, reviews, screenshots, and competitor evidence.
MCP is useful when you want a research partner, not another dashboard. OpenASO keeps the data organized. Your AI assistant helps turn that data into summaries, ideas, and next steps.
What the assistant can see
Your assistant can work with the OpenASO data you choose to track:
- Apps you have added to OpenASO.
- Keywords, countries, rankings, popularity, and notes.
- App Store ratings and reviews.
- Screenshots and App Store metadata.
- Competitors found through shared keyword rankings.
- App websites when available.
Some tools only read existing data. Others can refresh rankings, add keywords, update notes, download reviews, or export screenshots when you ask.

Privacy
OpenASO stores your workspace data locally on your Mac. MCP gives your selected AI client access to OpenASO through a local connection. Review your AI client's privacy settings before sending summaries, reviews, screenshots, or other research to a hosted model.
