App Store keyword field builder

Paste your keyword ideas in priority order. You get a clean, comma-separated string that fits Apple's 100-character limit, without words you have already used.

How to use the result

  1. Paste the string into the Keywords field for your app version in App Store Connect.
  2. Run it through the metadata checker to review singular and plural pairs.
  3. Look up your most important words in the keyword rank checker to see who you would be up against.

For the reasoning behind each step, read how to use the App Store keyword field and how to do App Store keyword research.

Frequently asked questions

Should App Store keywords have spaces after commas?

No. Separate keywords with commas and no spaces. A space after a comma uses one of your 100 characters.

Should I put whole phrases in the keyword field?

You can. Apple allows spaces inside a phrase, such as Real Estate. Single words use fewer characters and leave room for more terms, so this builder splits phrases into words. If a phrase only makes sense as a unit, edit the result by hand.

Which words does the builder leave out?

It removes duplicates and any word already in the app name or subtitle you enter. If the list is still too long, words toward the end of your list go into a left-over list, so put your priorities first.
